Tanker drivers lock down Lagos

The problem I have with these tanker drivers is that they have become a law unto themselves. Even worse is that they keep protesting for the wrong reasons. LASTMA from my own observations hardly stop you if you are obeying traffic rules. Note that I accept that the LASTMA people can go overboard in their actions.

Question of the day: why have the tanker drivers and NURTW never protested the state of our roads?

Guess you should make your research and be informed before posting on your blog. Tanker drivers have been protesting continually on the deplorable conditions of our roads. Take the Calabar-Itu road for example.....read up on the rest.

Good question. If they go on strike it might be more effective

Tanker drivers destroy the roads...no point for them to complain.
And bad roads favour NURTW...it is easier for them to jump in front of an approaching vehicle on a bad road...slows drivers down for 'em.

Answer to your question of the day: Because they profit from all the chaos deriving from the decripity of the roads. Olu Omo and his cohort line their pockets with the proceeds of the extortion racket the NURTW runs buy way of fees and levies it collects from motorists and NURTW members
