Are we Lucky?

Maybe ASUU should be happy. Jonathan also of academic inclination has come from 'nowhere' to be the nominee for Veep. This is too obvious a move to appease the South-South. Is he the best person for the job?

I am too drained to do an analysis. I honestly don't think he is the best for the job. You can read his CV here and judge for yourself. Thanks to Nkem for that link.

Two very weak candidates I'm afraid to say. I can see why Babangida or Atiku could think of winning if they managed to get the oppostion to endorse them as candidates. If Utomi makes it as candidate for AC, I think he has a real chance, PDP has thrown this one away.

All we have to do is that all the political permutations should be in the interest of the nation....

Yar Adua and Jonathan are obviously consensus candidates just like Obasanjo of 1999. They may metamorphose into Frankensteins just like Obasanjo did to his political benefactor, IBB. OBJ is not the efficient puppet master he is making out to be. You wait and see.

I am tempted to think that this is a clear transition move, but a part of me just imagines that this OBJ is again playing Nigerians to the gallery. The PDP presidential flagbearers seem masterminded to pacify the Niger-deltans but its the whole set-up that reeks of unseriousness and fruad.

Just after the Third term brouhaha, PDP nominated a committee to search for a new Presidential candidate and the mandate of heading this commitee rested on the now infamous Ekiti Gov. Ayo Fayose. Two months down the road, with Fayose outsted from government, same OBJ goes to Ekiti and calls him a PDP mistake, the commitee he chaired only sat once and never came up with anything tangible.

Now once again to make Nigerians believe that there may be elections, PDP is fielding 2 political nobodies. I once again have this funny feeling that someone is trying to buy time. I really do not think OBJ will be dumb enough not to handover to a loyal soldier, his act stinks to high heaven of corruption.. ... see Atikus confession of the PTDF looting, its mind boggling. I may be utterly wrong but i dont think this man wants to handover power.....some things arent adding up atall.

Only time will tell........ .......
